Job Search Blues
You’ve done the work and the studying, you’ve got your certification or diploma, and you’ve applied for a job…and you don’t get hired. This is not a pleasant situation, certainly, and it may be one that you’ll never have to face. But there are no guarantees.
Sometimes, a job search doesn’t always go the way you want it to. Plenty of people get hired by their ideal employer right away. Other times, though, you may have to put out numerous applications – and you might still not get hired right away.
So what can you do when you’ve submitted resumes and showed up for interviews, and you still haven’t gotten hired? Here are three things you can do during your job search:
Polish up your Resume
Sometimes an employer may not hire someone not because of their credentials or lack thereof, but because of something simple like typos on their resume. A professional-looking, polished resume shows potential employers that you’re serious about your career and that you have a desire for excellence.
