What Will You Learn in CCC’s Vocational Nursing Program?
Once admitted, students in CCC’s Vocational Nursing program receive a combination of classroom education, laboratory instruction, and hands-on clinical training. In CCC’s VN program, students learn how to:
- Provide basic nursing care
- Administer medications
- Document patients’ signs and symptoms
- Perform therapeutic and rehabilitative measures
The curriculum progresses from fundamental nursing concepts into more advanced and specialty areas of nursing. Hands-on training is critical for healthcare careers, so CCC’s program includes a clinical externship.
How Long Is Central Coast College’s Vocational Nursing Program?
CCC’s Vocational Nursing program can be completed in as few as 61 weeks full-time or 84 weeks part-time. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion.
