CCC’s Medical Assistant program is a diploma program that can be completed in as few as 46 weeks, and graduates of this program receive a Certificate of Completion as well as will be prepared to test for a nationally-recognized MA certification. Upon completion of the program, graduates are prepared for entry-level positions as a Medical Assistant, Medical Records and Health Information Technician, Medical Secretary, or Reception and Information Clerk.

At Central Coast College, our Medical Assistant program provides students with intensive training emphasizing medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology; diagnostic and treatment procedures, and medical office procedures and insurance billing. Students also receive real-world on-the-job experience through an externship.

In the Medical Assistant program, you’ll learn:

  • Venipuncture and Injections
