Central Coast College – A Close Community Who Cares
Central Coast College (CCC), a Legacy Education institution, is more than just a school. At CCC, you become a part of the family from the time you walk in the front door. Many of our students are friends and family members of current and former CCC students. We care about each other, and it shows in our community of support. Staff and instructors work closely with each student, getting to know them, their strengths, and their career goals. The community at CCC becomes truly close to each student, invested in their progress towards their personal goals. We are all on our path to a purposeful, rewarding future, and everyone at CCC supports each other as we each work towards achieving our goals.
Come to CCC for your healthcare career training, and find a school where you can feel like family, a school where others truly care about you, your well-being, and your success. At Central Coast College, we are committed to our students, their wellness, and their future. We are proud to be a close community of peers, friends, and mentors, and at CCC, we all support and encourage each other as we work towards our ultimate Path to Purpose.
CCC Recognizes May as Mental Health Awareness Month
This Mental Health Awareness month is a great time to reflect on your own mental health and focus on taking care of your whole self. Life can be stressful, and when you are pursuing career training and higher education, you have even more on your plate. It’s vital to recognize those challenges, and your individual stressors, and take steps to manage them for your well-being. Here are some quotes from current Legacy Ed students about how they take care of their own mental health:
“The way I practice mental well-being is making time for myself, doing things like going to work out, getting some sleep, silent reading, going to sit next to some water, just having some me time, and that’s how I do it.”
“As a student you know during the week you get pretty hectic with your homework as well as practicing for exams and studying so for me practicing mental well-being I really like to take my time on the weekends to practice a lot of self-care whether that be going on a walk listening to music and watching a lot of my favorite comfort shows.”
“When it comes to mental health or handling stress, usually I’ll just write it down or reach out to someone that I trust because holding it in is never helpful.”
Seeking support is always a good thing. At CCC, there is always help available; we encourage all of our students to come to Student Services or reach out to Legacy Education’s Well-Being Officer, any time they feel they need some support. It’s important to reach out if you feel like you need some support. Whether it is personal or professional, talking to someone can be the best step towards a better well-being. At Central Coast College, we are all here to help you!
