You’re Never Too Old to Learn!

College students come in all ages these days. Even though it’s still quite common for students to move on to college right out of high school, if you’re older than 18 you don’t have to feel like you’ve missed the boat.

Getting a degree or certification isn’t about just keeping busy for a few more months or years after high school. It’s about you setting yourself up for new opportunities and a meaningful career that you can enjoy.

New Career, New Opportunity

Opportunity isn’t just for the young – it’s for anyone who is willing to work hard and take advantage of opportunities when they come.

Here at Central Coast College, we have programs on many different subjects – from computer office administration to nursing assistant to veterinary technology. We also even offer evening classes for some programs, like phlebotomy technician, medical assisting and computer specialist: accounting.

There is no upper age restriction on our programs – the oldest student we enrolled was 78, and the oldest graduate 68! The median age of our students is 20-something, but we typically have students in their 30s, 40, and 50s attending classes, which makes for a nice mix.

We do require a high school diploma or GED, but it doesn’t matter if you graduated from high school one year ago or 30 years ago. If you dream of pursuing a new career or providing better for your family, then chase your dreams – you and your family deserve it, no matter your age!

It’s never too late to start over or to start something new. We’re looking for motivated students who are willing to learn and have an aptitude for benefiting from the training we provide.
